Team RMATVMC 2021

Payson, UT (Aug.16, 2021) –   After two-weeks off, it was a return to racing as the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS team visited the famous Unadilla MX in New Berlin, NY for round 8 of the 2021 Pro Motocross Championship.  It was a solid day for the team , with Justin Bogle earning his first top ten overall of the season.

Justin Bogle put the power to the ground in moto one, as he rounded the first turn inside the top five in fourth place.  He didn’t let the front group get away, as he matched the pace for the first half of the race while putting pressure for third place. After a mid-race battle and sliding back a few spots, the GEAR Off-Road supported rider kept the charge and crossed the finish in 9th place. A start outside of the top twenty in moto two had Justin fighting his way forward early. Within five laps he worked his way inside the top fifteen, making moves and putting pressure on the 12th place rider by the halfway point. After making the pass, the Sweet Life CBD backed rider would take the checkered flag in 12th sport, earning 9th overall for the day.

“I am happy with my ride today. My speed was there, just didn’t have the start I needed in the second moto. Overall we are moving in the right direction and looking forward to Budds Creek and the last part of the season.”

Joey Savatgy launched out of the gate in the first moto and dodged a downed rider in turn one to position himself inside the top ten. From there he focused his way forward as he started to put pressure just outside the top five. Joey was in attack mode late in the race, as the Alpinestars supported rider closed the gap on 5th place before running out of time taking the checkered flag in 6th place. Moto two did not start well, as Joey would go down hard early while fighting inside the top ten. With the bike bent up from his crash, he would remount and the Engine Ice backed rider didn’t let the pressure get to him as he worked his way up to 20th  by the end of the moto, ending the day 13th overall.

“It was a good day overall, My speed was there and had good starts both motos. It was just unfortunate I had a big get-off in the second moto. I have been happy with the progress we’ve been making and am looking forward to bouncing back at Budds Creek next Saturday. ”
