Payson, UT (Apr. 15 2021) – Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS took the second gate drop at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, GA for round 14 of the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross series. Joey Savatgy rode well for another top-10 finish.
450 Heat 2 saw Joey Savatgy using the superior traction of his Dunlop tires to round the first turn in 2nd place. After chasing down the leader, he found himself under attack defending his position before crossing the finish in 3rd place. A mid-pack start in the main event had Joey working his way forward early. He worked his way into the top 10 by the halfway point of the race before going down in the whoops. After remounting with his bars twisted, he crossed the finish line in 10th place, earning his seventh top-10 finish of the season.
“My night was ok. I rode well in my heat, but didn’t get the start I needed in the main and had to battle through the field. It was unfortunate that I went down, as I had a better finish going. I’m still moving in the right direction and am looking forward to Atlanta 3 and finishing off our stay here with another top ten.”Joey Savatgy
Justin Bogle continues to heal from his injuries and did not suit up to race the second Atlanta round. Justin and the team continue to monitor his health and will prepare for his return to racing.
The team now prepares for third and final round at Atlanta Motor Speedway, round 15 of the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross Series.
